When Brownout Strikes…

In this day and age, power interruption is not that much compared to my days in the 90’s.

No electricity means hot and sweat but still means a little bit of fun.

During a power outage, we play, sing and chit-chat. We play games inside the house or go out and play under the sun/moon while chit-chatting with our friends and neighbours. We sing songs and play an instrument.

I guess our tolerance in pain and hardship are high compared to this generation. Nowadays, kids are dependent on gadgets and always look for their own comfort. When sudden emergency happens, they may feel discomfort.

So let’s go back to the past. Begin telling your stories. Tell them about brownout and what do you do when there’s one.

Since we are affected by the emergency power interruption in our area (without prior notice) – story and jam time!

This is my hubby and son playing guitar and kalimba.
