by Gavin

Materials needed:

  • 2 empty soda bottles (labels removed)
  • water
  • vortex bottle connector
  • food coloring (optional)

Observation:

>>> Why is the water not going down at first when the top bottle is not move / spin? Because of the air pressure that stops the water from going down.

>>> How does the hole form? When the air goes up, the water goes down. When the bottle is spin in circular motion, it creates a water vortex.
