Learning with Books

The real action starts on our third week. We started using the books provided by our homeschool provider.

To be honest, I was awestruck by merely looking at all the books and by browsing them. Questions like ‘can we tackle everything per subject’, ‘can we follow the schedule given to us’, ‘how long should we tackle one lesson in one period per subject’, ‘am I knowledgeable enough to teach my son in particular subject’ were some of the things that boggles my mind.

But as we begin using the books, little by little, I was able to figure out on how should I go about it.

As a first time homeschooling mom, yes it is indeed overwhelming on how to manage your time as a mom, a wife, a teacher and an all-around homemaker. There are a lot of things that I have to learn. But prayer is the number one help when you think you can’t handle it. Breathe and think. Organize and make a system. Few things that I learned as I go about this journey.

Using the books makes my life easier as it guides me through the things that I have to teach and do systematically. I just have to follow the books and adds up on to the lessons if I have to. I am really glad that the books were delivered to us.

Below are some pictures of our third week activities using the books.

SCIENCE
Learning about Matter.
It’s not that complicated as I thought so.
It is actually fun learning Science again.
Also happy to see my son writing notes on his Science notebook.
