This Math activity of cutting different shapes and making a figure out of it, stimulates my son’s imagination and creativity. He was able to create a figure on his own. Out of 10 blue squares, 6 yellow rectangles, 8 red triangles, and 4 green circles, he made a fire truck figure. He named his work ‘Fire Truck Spraying Water on the Burning Buildings.’
Truly, the child’s imagination is the start of the wonders of creation. After this activity, he enjoyed making more figures out of various cut shapes.
Cut. Imagine. Create.
